The WPD Bylaws were amended at the 2023 Annual Meeting on July 16th in order to be in compliance with USA Fencing’s uniform set of Division Bylaws for all its Divisions.

SafeSport Reimbursement
The WPD SafeSport Reimbursement Policy provides a $30 reimbursement to qualified individuals to offset the additional cost of the +CheckEd or +Coach add-on (which includes the cost of the required background check and SafeSport training) to their base membership, or the additional cost of a Coach membership.
Individuals seeking to receive this reimbursement must read the following information to determine if they qualify, then complete and submit the SafeSport Reimbursement form by July 15th. A member of the Executive Committee will be in contact if the submitted information is incomplete or if the individual is not qualified to receive this reimbursement.
Referees, bout committee, armorers, club volunteers, and WPD Executive/Ad Hoc Committee members are required to have the +CheckEd add-on, as this membership add-on is for members who do not coach but are involved in administrative capacities: a background check and SafeSport training are required, and both are included in the cost of this membership add-on.
Current USA Fencing members who coach at USA Fencing member clubs in any capacity, or at USA Fencing sanctioned events, are required to have the Coach membership: a background check and SafeSport training are required, and both are included in the cost of this membership add-on.
Current USA Fencing Life and Life Installment members who coach at USA Fencing member clubs in any capacity, or at USA Fencing sanctioned events, are required to have the +Coach add-on: a background check and SafeSport training are required, and both are included in the cost of this membership add-on.
